Loving Neighbor is a faith-based vision and initiative that seeks to connect worshiping communities, community organizatons, businesses, schools, foundations, government agencies, as well as socially conscious persons in Lake County to help those in need.  It is a vision that stems out of Christ's command to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39).  Francis of Asissi declared, "Wherever you go preach the Gospel, and if necessary use words."  Loving Neighbor seeks to live out the presence of the Gospel in ways which bring life and hope to the people of Lake County, especially those who are in need. 

Though Loving Neighbor's only initiative at this time is Ten Thousand Gardens, we seek to eventually expand our focus to include providing alternative services for offering clothing, shelter, medical care, reconcilation between offenders and victims, as well as whatever might bring wholeness to our communities. 

Though we are not yet a 501(c)(3) organization we hope to apply for that status in the near future.
